Uncle Lou Ross departed this life on Friday, September 13, 2019, at the age of 72 years, 6 months, and 20 days. He was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on February 24, 1947, the son of the late Louis Edward and Bobbie Casey Ross. He was united in marriage to Sandra Lavern Thomason, who preceded him in death on January 2, 2000.
Uncle Lou loved everyone and everyone loved him...he stole the heart of his community. He was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church and served as an usher there. Uncle Lou was known by the way he dressed, he was a very sharp dressed man. He had worked at Hardin Medical Center in the Dietary Department.
He is survived by his children, DeAnna Chavez and her husband Jose of Selmer, Tennessee, Francese Davenport and her husband Darian of Parsons, Tennessee, Shavon Parker and her husband John of Selmer, Tennessee, Eddie Thomason and his wife Kara of Savannah, Tennessee, and Marcus Thomason and his wife Heather of Adamsville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Shameka Journey and her husband Martin, BreAnna Burge, Jada Davenport, Justice Davenport, Deja Weekly, Jayla Davenport, Jaylen Davenport, Destiny Weekly, Aaliyah Parker, Cadence Thomason, Malakai Thomason, and Kali Thomason; great grandchildren, Addyn Journey, Landen Journey, Carter DeWalt, and Parker Journey; and sisters, Barbara Faye Ross of Savannah, Tennessee, Sandra Siner of Niagra Falls, New York, and Betty Ann Harris of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Laura Harris and a brother, Joe A. Ross.
