VELMA NEISLER SNIDER
Henderson, TN: Velma Lee Neisler Snider age 92 passed away, Monday morning, September 29, 2014 at the Henderson Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Snider was born November 8, 1921 in Henderson County and raised in the Sweetlips Community of Chester County, the daughter of the late George Robert and Emma Susan Ervin Neisler. She married Glen Snider of the Milledgeville area in 1941. They made their home in the Enville Community. She loved to garden and work in her flowers. Mrs. Snider was a member of the Faith Baptist Church.
Mrs. Snider is survived by four sons, Randie Snider and wife Nancy of Jackson, Jerry Snider and wife Ruth of Jackson, Bobby Snider and wife Ronda of Gig Harbor, WA and Chris Snider of Lebannon, MO and a daughter, Peggy Helms and husband Curtis of Eads; seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; and a sister, Ethel Bishop of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Glen Snider in 2008, a grandson, Clay Snider; four brothers; James, Herman, Lester and Carl Neisler and two sisters; Hessie Mae Terry and Effie Neisler.
Funeral services will be 2:30 pm Thursday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with burial in Faith Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at 11:00 am on Thursday at Casey Chapel
