Mr. Vernon Forshea, age 82 of Saulsbury, Tennessee, formerly of Memphis, departed this life Tuesday morning, February 11, 2014 at his home.
Mr. Forshea was born in Middleton, Tennessee July 20, 1931 to the late John Elmer and Vivian Dukes Forshea. On April 19, 1950, he was united in marriage to the former Iris Evelyn Williams, who preceded him in death February 24, 2005. He worked in Memphis for 20 years prior to moving to Hardeman County in 1963. He worked as a security guard at Western Mental Health Institute before he retired in the early 1990s, after which he went to work at Sequentia.
While living in Memphis, he was a member of Southmore Baptist Church and later became a member of West Memorial Baptist Church in Saulsbury. Among his hobbies, he enjoyed training saddle horses and loved to hunt and trap.
Survivors include three sons, James Forshea and wife Judy of Middleton, Ronnie Forshea and wife Lynn of Brownsville, and Cody Forshea of Saulsbury; three grandchildren, Amy Coulston, John Clayton Forshea and Jana Turner; and six great-grandchildren, Logan Wyatt Coulston, Rylee Ann Coulston, John Dillon Turner, Joshua Luke Turner, Kentson Wade Forshea, and Christopher McKee.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Forshea, who passed away in 2008; two sisters, JoAnn Pearson and Bonnie Faye Rudd; and a brother, Eddie Forshea.
