Virginia Ann Vaughn

Virginia Ann Vaughn, 79, of Bolivar, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 26, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Born July 9, 1940 to Cos and Frances Kelso Hillman in Whiteville, she lived most of her life in Hardeman County, with the exception of living in Chicago about 15 years. She worked for Harman Automotive in Bolivar for 19 years and as a CNA at Brint's Nursing Home. Mrs. Vaughn loved to take care of others. She had a green thumb and her family proclaimed she was a master at everything she did. She loved to go out to eat and shop, to travel, and get on Facebook and Snap Chat. Her favorite color was purple. Mrs. Vaughn was a Baptist in belief.

Survivors include her 4 daughters, Tonya Phillips (Ronnie) of Whiteville, Lynn Sterling (Ricky) of Medon, Freda Sullivan of Jackson, and Beth McMahan of Moscow, TN; a sister Beverly Lax of Bolivar; 2 brothers, Mike Hillman of Crestview, Florida and Richard Hillman (Gay) of Houston, Texas; and 9 grandchildren, Megan Taylor, T. J. Maybury, Jessica and Davis Mayfield, Rebecca and Anna Sterling, Caleb Quinn, Mark Johnson, and Chris West; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and one on the way. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Janet Hillman and Marjorie Foote, and a brother, Coleman Hillman. * Maintain 6 feet between yourself and the next closest person;
* Refrain from hugs and handshakes;
* When you sneeze or cough, use your elbow to cover your nose and mouth;
* Wash your hands often;
* Avoid touching your face; and
* Minimize time spent in places where people gather.
