Vivian Culp Howell was born August 16, 1941 in Clifton, TN the daughter of the late William Buck Culp II and Montie Edith Evans Culp. After a short illness, Mrs. Howell died Thursday, November 28, 2013 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville at the age of 72 Years, 3 Months, 12 Days.
Mrs. Howell, an alumni of Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, was a member
of First United Methodist Church in Waynesboro and was a charter member of Riverside Methodist Church in Clifton. She and her husband Bruce, whom she married August 27, 1960, enjoyed traveling over the country and they had the opportunity to enjoy many cruises together with family and friends, especially enjoying the Alaskan cruises. When they were in town they could usually be found working at the local Pizza Hut they owned. Mrs. Vivian was a very giving person, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need especially helpful to her friends and family.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bruce Howell of Waynesboro,
their son, Darrell Howell and his wife Belinda, granddaughter, Alayna Faith Howell and grandson Parker Brison Howell all of Nashville, and her only brother, Siron Culp and his wife Carol of Clifton, a nephew, William Buck Culp III and his wife Lacey, and a great nephew, Henry Jackson Culp all of Nashville.
Services are scheduled for Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Riverside United Methodist Church in Clifton with Whitney Mitchell, Mitchell Skelton, and Josh Layne officiating. Interment following in Riverside Methodist Church Cemetery near Clifton with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers are William Culp, Mitchell Skelton, Jeffrey Skelton, David Keating, Raymond Warren, and W.G. Howell.
Family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be given to the American Cancer Society.
