    Wade Jacobs

    October 13, 1954 - April 3, 2021

Wade Jacobs, 66, of Middleton, passed away Saturday afternoon, April 3, 2021 at Bolivar General Hospital. The son of the late Carroll Avasta Jacobs and Allene Annie Gates Jacobs, he was born in Bolivar and was a life-long resident of Hardeman County. A 1972 graduate of Middleton High School, he was well known for his abilities as a self-employed master bricklayer. Mr. Jacobs married the former Debra Fleming on October 3, 1981. Mrs. Jacobs departed this life on Wednesday, February 9, 1983. He is described by his family as "the best, father, grandfather and father-in-law in the world". A ready listener and friend, he was always putting others before himself and was eager to lend a helping hand to those in need. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and golf. He is survived by his daughter, Tabitha Jacobs Harris of Middleton; two sisters, Margie Louise Darling of Pocahontas and Bettie Fae Jacobs of Middleton; seven grandchildren, Dawson and Mackinley Jacobs, Addison Norwood, Brianna, Fender, Fleming and Manning Harris; three step-grandchildren, Halie and Carlee Harris and Jagger Scott; a daughter-in-law, Leeann Jacobs of Saulsbury; and a sister-in-law, Maria Jacobs of Corinth, MS. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Chad Jacobs; his grandson, Kentson Forshea; his brother, Larry Joe Jacobs; and a brother-in-law, George Darling. Memorials may be sent to the Middleton Library.
