Junior Rinks,

Henderson: Walter Julian ‘Junior’ Rinks, age 87 passed away Saturday afternoon, October 30, 2021 at Henderson Health and Rehabilitation.

Mr. Rinks was born December 19, 1933, in the Perry Switch Community near Jackson, the son of the late J. B. (Jessie Brownlow) and Mabel Louise Bernie Rinks. He grew up in Chester County and farmed from an early age, farming his entire life. He loved children and often babysat and always had candy for the little ones. He loved wearing his overalls and was a good cook. He was the major caregiver for his late brother Wayne. He especially loved his church family and enjoyed worship and church gatherings. He was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Henderson.

He is survived by a brother; Neal Rinks of Henderson and two sisters; Dorothy Hilliard of Medina and Lucille Maness of Henderson; special caregivers and nieces Kim Holmes and Shelly Fesmire; and several other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Larry, Henry, and DeWayne and a sister Faye Rinks Flatt.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 3rd at Shackelford Funeral Directors East Main Chapel with Brother Mike Rickenbaker officiating. Burial will be at Sanford Rogers Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the East Main Chapel from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday.
