Wanda Faye Lockard departed this life on Thursday, March 25, 2021, at the age of 70 years, 5 months, and 1 day. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 24, 1950, the daughter of Edna Matthews Lockard and the late George Lockard.
Wanda was a prayer warrior and loved reading the Bible, gospel singing, and loved to take care of people. During her lifetime, she had lived all over the United States and for the past four years had lived in Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to her mother, Edna Lockard of Hazel Park, Michigan, Wanda is survived by her daughters, Fran Ramey of DeFiance, Ohio, Coleen Fulk and her husband Shaun of Stryker, Ohio, and Deborah Newcomb and her husband James of Clifton, Tennessee; 13 grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Sue Rossiter and her husband Pete of Taylor, Michigan, Deborah Ann Farris, and Patricia Ann Stollins and her husband Gary, all of Hazel Park, Michigan, and Elizabeth Pearl Williams and her husband Phillip of Canton, Georgia and half sisters, Lisa, Beverly, and Betty Jo; brothers, Gary Lockard and Freddie Lee Lockard, both of Hazel Park, Michigan: and half brother, Jimmy.
Along with her father, Wanda was preceded in death by a granddaughter, a sister, Betty Gail Collins, and a brother, Alvin George Lockard.
