Wanna Dillard, 87, departed this life Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Born and reared in McNairy County, she was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Mary Louarkie Barham Vires. She graduated 2nd in her class at Bethel Springs High School and was later united in marriage to Frank Lester Eaton, Jr., who died in 1982. She was married Mr. Hubert Dillard until his passing in 1997. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Vonnie Johnson, Loudine Smith and Hermie O'Neal; and four brothers, Howard, R. C., Eckard and Ernest Ray Vires.
Mrs. Dillard lived most of her life in Nashville where she worked as a nurse's aid at Clover Bottom Hospital and as a caregiver. She moved to Hardeman County to be near her daughter in 2010. In her leisure time, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She leaves her daughter, Mary Brinkley (Rickey Farris) of Bolivar; her son, Michael Hubert Eaton (Marsha) of Nashville; four grandchildren, Joel Brinkley (Darcy) of College Grove, TN, Jessica Farris of Jackson, Ryan Farris of Toone and Tyler Farris of Middleton; and three great-grandchildren, Isley, Thea and Ori Brinkley.
