Wayland R. Lowe Sr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Wayland R. Lowe Sr. was born April 21, 1939 in Fonde, KY the son of the late Fredmon and Helen Ruth Hamlet Lowe. He was united in marriage to Martha Risner on January 11, 1995. Mr. Lowe a veteran of the United States Air Force and a retired truck driver. He departed this life on August 2, 2022 in Waynesboro, TN at the age of 83 years, 3 months, and 12 days. He is survived by his wife Martha Lowe; two sons, Wayland R. Lowe Jr. and Bethany, and David Lowe, all of Waynesboro, TN; a daughter, Michelle Lowe of Greenhead, FL; six grandchildren, Jaxon Lowe, Lila Lowe, Lydia Lowe, Samantha Cratty, Nichole Surralt, and Shea Mcglynn; and two great grandchildren, Teagan Gorsuch and Kash Martin. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lowe was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Phillips and a daughter, Dawn Paymaster. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 5:00 pm unti 8:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN, with Timothy Owen officiating.The family has request cremation following the funeral with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisting the family.
