Willadean Hankins Rush

Willadean Hankins Rush was born in Chester County, Tennessee on June 28,1927 and died on January 5, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband Atlas, her mother and father Delene and James Hankins, and her sisters Jimmie Fleming, Ozoline Cupples, Sudie Murley and a brother, Clyde King.

She leaves behind a loving family of three children, Vicki Rush and Susan Rush Wilkes (Norman) of Memphis and a son Stan of Silerton, Tennessee; three grandsons Will Rush of McKinney, Texas and Hank Rush (Maureen) of Chicago and Adam Rush (Laura) of Memphis; one granddaughter Mallory Rush of Jackson, Tennessee and two great grandchildren-Avery and Atlas and a host of beloved nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.

Willa lived most of her life in Silerton, Tennessee. She attended Silerton United Methodist Church for many years . She worked at Kilgore Corporation until the age of 82. She lived a life rich in friendship, love and laughter and devotion to family and friends.

She was an avid reader; she loved to travel with her friends and family and she loved to go to the weekend dances. In recent years, she especially loved bird watching in her front yard.
