Willie Edward (Bill) Hollander of Lutts, TN, formerly of Collinwood, TN, was born July 7, 1930 in Florence, AL, the son of the late Joseph Frank and Lizzie Ree Burkes Hollander. He was united in marriage to Betty Evelene Holt on November 11, 1950 and she preceded him in death on April 24, 2016.
Mr. Hollander was retired from Hassell and Hughes Lumber Company and was a member of the Burns Chapel Freeewill Baptist Church in Iron City, Tennessee.
He departed this life on Monday, October 14, 2019at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, Alabama at the age of 89 Years, 3 Months and 7 Days.
He is survived by sons, Gregory Alan Hollander and , Renay and Stanley E. Hollander and wife, Shelia all of Lutts, TN; grandchildren, Nathan Hollander, wife, Alicia, Bethany Webb, husband, Jonathan, Lindsey Barrier, husband, Brennan, Heather Cantrell, husband, Keith and Hannah, Ashley, Samantha, Amber and Bailey Hollander; great-grandchildren, Shelby, Allie and Remington Hollander, Chelsea and Paityn Barrier, Sarah and Alyssa Webb, Trinity, Hayden, Christina and Channing Hollander and Salenia, Sonya and Javan Davis; a brother, Gene Hollander of Detroit, MI; a sister, Mable Maddox of Sheffield, AL and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Hollander was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Aimee Hollander; brothers, Joe, Lawrence, Thomas, Aden, Howard, Albert and Louis Hollander; a sister, Louise Wells.
Services will be Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Edward Burbank officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, assisting the family. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Thursday, October 17, 2019 from 9 am to service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Austin Cox, Jonathan Webb, Keith Cantrell, Nathan Hollander, Patrick Brewer and Marty McGee.
