Wilma Morgan Flatt Provience was born April 13, 1944 in Marianna, AR the daughter of the late George Noel (Buster) and Elwanda Dae Bettis Morgan.
She was united in marriage to Donald Lee Flatt on September 17, 1960. To this union three children were born. Mr. Flatt preceded her in death on July 14, 1970. On July 4, 1988 she was united in marriage to Rod Provience. Mr. Provience preceded her in death on May 11, 2015.
Mrs. Provience was formerly employed by Garan, Blount Brothers Construction, and Nan's Florist. She enjoyed arts and crafts, growing and arranging flowers, and music. Regarding the latter, she would often say "the world was never meant to be without music." She also loved animals, especially horses. Mrs. Provience was a member of the Adamsville First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Provience departed this life on June 19, 2020 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 2 Months, 6 Days. She is survived by a son, Joe Don Flatt of Stantonville, TN; two daughters, Deborah Collum and husband Glen of Savannah, TN and Lisa Ann Flatt of Gardendale, AL; four grandchildren: Bobby Hunt, Matthew Peric and wife Amanda, Hollie Combs, and Ben Flatt and wife Sherell; nine great-grandchildren: Jayce Hunt, Caden Varnado, Kalee Flatt, Zoey Flatt, Anna Roberson, Alex Griffin, Chloe Griffin, Gracie Crane and Alex Crane; four sisters: Floye Mae Hall and husband Kenny of MO, Linda Adams of Kansas City, MO, Sandra Miller and husband Gareld of Kansas City, MO, and Judy Wynn and husband Walter of Iuka, MS; a brother, Bruce Morgan and wife Lisa of Kansas City, MO; and many extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Provience was preceded in death by a grandchild, Morgan Renee North.
Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24th, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Adamsville, followed by a private family visitation and service. All visitors are requested to wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines.
Memorials may be made to a local chapter of the Humane Society or the Adamsville First Baptist Church.
