Wilma Jean Tidwell
was born in Wayne County, Tennessee on September 29, 1933 the daughter of the late Clyde Warren and Bessie McFall Morris.
On February 1, 1953 she was united in marriage to Glen Marlin Tidwell, who preceded his wife in death on October 11, 2006.
Wilma worked for South Bend Plastics for 10 years in Mishawka, Indiana. After moving to Savannah, she worked at Kay Windsor Manufacturing for 11 years and Savannah Manufacturing for 11 years, where she retired from. After her retirement Wilma loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved to baby-sit, and loved dearly Michael Roach, Alyssa Rogers, and Casey Morris. Wilma treated everyone with love and kindness in a soft spoken voice. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, canning, and cooking family meals. Wilma was a member of the Walnut Grove Freewill Baptist Church Association and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She attended New Pleasant Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
Wilma departed this life on Thursday, July 29, 2021 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 87 years and 10 months.
She is survived by her daughter, Audrey Lumpkin and her husband Norman of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Stacey McFall and her husband Preston and Brandon Morris and his wife Dana; great-grandchildren, Shelby Moore and her husband Tyler, Landon McFall, Bryson Morris, Kinzey Morris, and Emmy Morris; great great-grandchildren, Asher Moore and Addison Moore; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Wilma was preceded in death by one brother, Clyde Warren Morris and one sister, Helen Kathleen Morris.
