Mrs. Pulse passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 22, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis.
The wife of Kent W. Pulse, who survives, she was a customer support specialist at Northrop-Grumman for 13 years. Mrs. Pulse was born December 4, 1945 in Portageville, MO to the late Charlie D. Watkins and Jessie McCullough Watkins and lived her early life in Braggadocia, MO and her adult life in Tennessee. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Mrs. Pulse was a member of West Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, whom she married August 20, 2005, she is survived by two sons and their wives, Jeff Gentry and Kristin of Pocahontas and Mark Gentry and Paula of Savannah; a daughter and her husband, Alice Hill and Jeff of Bartlett; two sisters, Cathy Yeitz of Cherokee, AL and Mary Alessi of Middleton; two brothers, Carl Watkins of Tunica, MS and Wilson Watkins of Michie; and five grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Nate, Courtney and Cory. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of 34 years, Herman Melvin Gentry, who died August 22, 1998; a sister, Reba Mathis; and two brothers, Charles and Harold Watkins.
