Alathan Dana Davis

Alathan Dana Davis of Lutts, TN, was born September 20, 1930 in Ashby, MA, the son of the late Frank Wilbur and Doris Brewer Davis. He was united in marriage to Dolores Mae Lashua on July 7, 1951 and she preceded him in death on May 22, 2008.

Mr. Davis was a retired manager of Ford remanufacturing and served as a volunteer fireman in Ashby, MA for many years before moving to Lutts, TN. He was very active and enjoyed building birdhouses as a hobby. Mr. Davis was an avid Boston Celtics fan and enjoyed watching games with his granddaughter, Heather and her husband, VJ.

Mr. Davis departed this life on Saturday, May 28, 2016 in Wayne County, TN at the age of 85 Years, 8 Months, 8 Days.

He is survived by a son, Gerald Irving Davis and wife, Dianna of Lutts, TN; a granddaughter, Heather Davis-Larosa and husband, Vincent.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by a granddaguther, Heidi Davis.

A graveside service will be Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at the Lutts Cemetery, Lutts, Tennessee with Tommy Flood officiating. Burial will follow with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Keith Wilbanks, Chris Wilbanks, Terry Joe Beckham and Daniel Stricklin.

His family requests that everyone attending the services dress casually and comfortably just like Dana would have wanted you to.
