Albert Nelson

Albert Eugene Nelson, age 77, died March 11, 2009 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.Hew as born near Ripley, TN the son of the late W. E. and Mary Elizabeth McGlothin Nelson. He attended schools in Lauderdale County. Mr. Nelson worked at Western Auto in Ripley for many years. He was married to Shirley Brasfield in 1951. They moved to Henderson in 1974, where they operated Western Auto Store and later AL’s Repair. Mr. Nelson later owned and operated Nelson Trucking Company until his retirement in 1994. He attended Trinity Untied Methodist Church in Henderson. He was also a former member of the Lions Club, Chester County Rescue Squad and a Henderson City Alderman.He is survived by his wife, Shirley Brasfield Nelson of Henderson; a daughter, Barbara Jackson and husband Tommy of Trenton; two sons, Mike Nelson and wife Linda of Henderson and Phil Nelson and wife Kim of Memphis; six grandchildren, Jarrod Jackson, David Nelson, Amber Nelson, April Nelson, Haley Nelson and Molly Nelson; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Reynolds and Joyce Neal both of Ripley, TN; five brothers, Billy Nelson, Neal Nelson, Bobby Nelson all of Ripley, TN, Douglas Nelson of Gates, TN and Talmadge Nelson of Halls, TN. He was preceded in death by a sister, Pansy Green.
