Alfredo (Fred) Ortiz departed this life on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at the age of 65 years, 9 months, and 27 days. He was born in Matawan, New Jersey on October 15, 1954, the son of the late Ralph and Aurora Santiago Ortiz.
Fred served honorably in the US Navy. He had called Savannah, Tennessee home for the passed 20 years, and enjoyed riding bicycles.
Fred is survived by his sisters, Marie Stefanski of Lawrence Harbor, New Jersey, Margaret Morris of Florida, Janice Chandler of Pennsylvania, Carmen Stricklin of Savannah, Tennessee, and Aurora Calorel of Browns Mill, New Jersey; and brothers, John Ortiz of South Carolina, Ralph Ortiz of New Jersey, Frank Ortiz of Elizabeth, New Jersey, Eddie Ortiz of Long Branch, New Jersey, Modesto Ortiz of Toms River, New Jersey, and Louis Ortiz of Florida.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Ortiz.
