Alice Mae Robinson King was born June 11, 1932 in Pinson, TN the daughter of the late Otis Virgil and Beulah Rowland Robinson. She was united in marriage to Charles Edward King on December 24, 1948. Mr. King preceded her in death on March 7, 2003.
Mrs. King had worked as a machine operator for the Brown Shoe Company before she retired. She was a member of the Piney Grove Church of God in Selmer. Some of her favorite pastimes were reading, quilting, and spending time with her grandchlidren.
Mrs. King departed this life on January 16, 2015 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 82 Years, 7 Months, 5 Days. She is survived by two daughters, Cathy Sue Hansen and husband Ron of Bakersfield, CA, Carol Jane Willey of Selmer, TN; a son, Charles Wayne King and wife Teresa of Selmer, TN; a brother, Dean Robinson of Peoria, IL, a brother-in-law Henry Kiddy of Jackson, TN; two sisters, Mildred Hall and husband Levi of Peoria, IL, Joyce Roland and husband Charles of Selmer, TN; five grandchildren, Margo Elaine Holt and husband David of Memphis, TN, Eric John Willey of Selmer, TN, Amber Denise Hurst of Selmer, TN, Jaime Wegis and husband Jason of Orange County, CA, Janae Hansen of Bakersfield, CA; eight great grandchildren, Karina Belle Holt of Memphis, TN, Alaina Michelle Willey of Selmer, TN, Kyle Hansen of Bakersfield, CA, Devin Wegis, Tyler Wegis, Carter Wegis, Brooklyn Wegis, and Madison Wegis all of Orange County, CA; and special friend Tim Hurst of Eastview TN.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. King was preceded in death by two brothers, Hollis Lambert Jr., Doyle Lambert; and a sister, Dottie Kiddy.
