Allen Miller
Henderson, TN: Allen Bryant Miller, Sr., age 57 of Henderson died early Sunday morning June 7, 2020 at his home.

He was born November 25, 1962, the son of Stella Faye Smith Malone and the late Hubert Allen Miller. He grew up in Henderson and attended Chester County schools. He worked as a lineman for the telephone company for a time before he began working as a heavy equipment operator in underground utilities with Malone Construction, later Miller Underground and then S.M. Lawrence. He then was a driver for Jones Lumber Company. He more recently worked again for S.M. Lawrence. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He loved working with farm animals and raising quail. He also had a honey bee collection for a while. He enjoyed open wheel dirt track racing.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Thornton Miller of Henderson; his mother Stella Malone and husband Claudie of Henderson; two sons Anthony Hammons of Jackson and Allen Bryant Miller, II (Danielle Nicole) of Henderson; a daughter Sara Nicole Miller of Henderson; four grandchildren Alexandria and Adrianna Hammons, Allen Bryant Miller, III and Reece Thomas Miller; and two sisters Allison Barnes and Amanda Lee Howell (Glenn) both of Henderson.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Henderson’s Crook Avenue Chapel with Branson Barnes and Glenn Harris officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue on Monday, June 8, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
