Allen D. Riley

Allen D. Riley was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on April 12, 1921, the son of the late Allen Dumas and Stella H. Riley.On March 21, 1942, he was united in marriage to Nell Harrison, who preceded him in death on July 17, 2008.Mr. Riley owned his own Construction Company. He had lived in Bakersfield, California for over 40 years and was a member of the Builders Exchange. He was also a member of the Wesley's Chapel United Methodist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. He served in the US Navy from 1942-1945.Mr. Riley departed this life on Sunday, May 1, 2011, at the age of 90 years, 19 days.He is survived by 2 sons, Thomas Lee Riley of Pittsboro, North Carolina and David Patrick Riley of Savannah, Tennessee; a sister, Helen Riley Seat of California; 2 grandchildren, Timothy Lee Riley and Terry Riley; 3 great grandchildren, Aubrey Riley, Emily Riley and Briana Riley.In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Allen Riley; 3 sisters, Hazel Riley Qualls, Ruby Riley Crocker and Sally Riley Spencer.
