Allene Brown

Allene Stricklin Brown departed this life on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at the age of 93 years, 2 months, and 6 days. She was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on January 6, 1927, the daughter of the late Burt and Beulah Franks Stricklin. On September 12, 1946, she was united in marriage to William F. Brown, who preceded in death on October 23, 1990.

Allene retired from Brown Shoe Company in Savannah, Tennessee and was a member of Abram's Chapel Methodist Church. She was a volunteer at Park Rest Nursing Home for several years. She enjoyed her flowers and working in her yard.

Allene is survived by her brother, Clifford Stricklin and his wife Ellen of Savannah, Tennessee; nieces, Betty Baugus and Cathy Clement, both of Savannah, Tennessee and Rita Jackson of Linden, Tennessee; nephews, Steve Stricklin of Florence, Alabama, Gerry Stricklin of Savannah, Tennessee, and Chris Stricklin of Nashville, Tennessee; special great niece, Ryleigh Wilder; and a host of extended family.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Allene was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles William Stricklin, Grady Stricklin, and Johnny Boyd Stricklin, and a sister, Frances Louise Brown.
