Almedia P. Smith

Almedia P. (Skeeter) Smith was born June 15, 1935 in Trimble, Tennessee the daughter of the late Freddie B. and Dora J. Tummins Parker.Ms. Smith worked as a waitress at Country Kitchen and other restaurants in Selmer. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bethel Springs, Tennessee. Ms. Smith departed this life on February 10, 2007 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee at the age of 71 Years, 7 Months, 26 Days. She is survived by two daughters, Angie S. Ferguson of Jackson, Tennessee and Norma J. Smith, the mayor of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; two sons, Jerry G. Smith, United States Army, retired of Jackson, Tennessee and Kevin P. Smith, Sergeant First Class, United States Army of Simpsonville, South Carolina; two sisters, Dorothy E. Long of Memphis, Tennessee and Patricia Hill of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; nine grandchildren.In addition to her parents, Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Moreland H. Smith; son, James H. (Bo) Smith; brother, Freddie B. Parker Jr.
