McNeva Hill

Alta McNeva Sanderson Hill was born on February 3, 1927 in Chester County, Tennessee, to the late E. L. and Eloda Ellis Sanderson.

She was married to the unexpected love of her life on October 2, 1955, Wayne Douglas Hill, who preceded her in death on May 7, 1979. McNeva was self employed beautician for many years, where she made many, many friends and enjoyed her time in the beauty shop. She was a great and cherished friend to many.

She has been an active member of the Milledgeville Community Church until recently, but she still loved and supported her church family. In her early years, she enjoyed needle point and gardening and loved working in her flowers.

She was a very hardworking and loving lady, but she was also very honest. She would tell you how she felt and what she thought but in a loving way. She was not blessed with children of her own but she loved her family. Her little brother was the apple of her eye and her nieces and nephews were extra special. She had many special friends and loved talking to them on the phone.

Alta McNeva Sanderson Hill departed this life on April 3, 2024 in Milledgeville, Tennessee at the age of 97 years, 1 month, and 30 days.

She leaves behind her brother, Roy Sanderson (Louise); nieces and nephews, Tom Harwell, Jimmy Kennedy, Jane McCullough, Dannie Kennedy, Keith Sanderson, Myra Brand, Kent Sanderson,and Kelly Sanderson; and many great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, McNeva was preceded in death by her sisters, Agnes Harwell (Faye) and Gladys Kennedy (TC).
