Alta Aberdeen Tacker Essary

Mrs. Alta Aberdeen "Abbie" Tacker Essary, 91, Of Adamsville, died Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at McNairy Regional Hospital in Selmer, Tennessee. Mrs. Essary was born on August 17, 1916, the daughter of Tommie and Tennie Hardin Tacker. She was a farmer's wife and homemaker. She was united in marriage to Walter Snider Essary on November 25, 1939. Mr. Essary preceded her in death on February 17, 1991.

She was a member of the Solitude Free Will Baptist Church in Adamsville.

Mrs. Essary was also preceded in death by four sisters, Maggie Jackson, Morene Wyatt, Mable Foster, and Georgia Horton. Also preceded by four brothers, Bradie Tacker, Ezra Tacker, Joe Tacker, and an infant brother.

Survivors are her daughter Vickie Essary Ray and husband Ward of Bethel Springs; three grandchildren, Monty Lee Ray of Scotts Hill, Tennessee, Jimmy Ray of Bethel Springs, and Amy Ray Kelley and husband Jeff of Stantonville, Tennessee, a great-grandson Christopher Todd Ray of Lexington, Tennessee; a half-brother Paul Tacker of Millersburg, Indiana.
