Althea Stephens

Althea (Bobbie) McCrory Stephens was born September 28, 1913 in Summertown, Tennessee the daughter of the late Robert and India Mae Craig McCrory.In December 1936, she was united in marriage to George Thomas (Skeeter) Stephens, Jr., who survives.Mrs. Stephens was a homemaker and had lived in Savannah, Tennessee since 1936, and earlier in Summertown, Tennessee. She loved cooking for others, flower gardening, decorating, and reading. Mrs. Stephens was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. Mrs. Stephens departed this life on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at the age of 96 Years, 1 Day.In addition to her husband, Mrs. Stephens is survived by two grandchildren, Craig Stephens of Spanish Fort, AL, Suzanne (Stephens) Musgrove; three great grandchildren, Anna Kapoor Stephens, Sims McCrory Musgrove, William Frederick Musgrove.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by a son, George Thomas (Sonny) Stephens III; a daughter, Patricia Carol Stephens; a sister, Mary McCrory and a brother, Frank McCrory.
