Alton Dickerson

Alton Dickerson, age 78 of Corinth, MS, was born February 26, 1934 in McNairy County, the son of the late Victor and Pearl Moore Dickerson.Mr. Dickerson was Church of Christ in faith and a Mason. He was a truck driver for Dean Truck Line and Littco of Corinth, MS. He was married to Patricia Brown on March 5, 1952 who preceded him in death on November 21, 2011.Mr. Dickerson departed this life on April 18, 2012.He is survived by a daughter, Charlotte Bell of Corinth, MS; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Dickerson Latch of Corinth, MS; a sister, Christine Lambert and husband Jack of Selmer, TN; four grandchildren: Trinity Ingle of Corinth, MS, Jeremy Bell of West Point, MS, Kristin Bell of West Piont, MS and Greg Bell of Starkville, MS; three great- grandchildren: Gavin Ingle, Jules Ingle and Zoe Bell; and a host of nephews.Mr. Dickerson is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a son, Larry Dickerson; a sister, Anniece Rickman; and a son-in-law, Stan Bell.Services will be held April 20, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Acton, Tennessee. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery in Michie, Tennessee. Pallbearers to serve: Jeff Lambert, Mike Lambert, Greg Lambert, Brent Lambert, Phillip Burkes, Johnny Doles. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Alliance Hospice.
