ALTON JOHNSON
Jacks Creek, TN: Alton Troy Johnson, age 92 passed away January 30, 2011 at his home.
He was born in Henderson County the son of the late Troy and Eula Young Johnson. He was raised in Henderson County and was married to Inez Bailey in 1946. Mr. Johnson served in the U.S. Army during WWII serving both in the Pacific and Europe. They had lived at Jacks Creek all their married life. He farmed and worked for the State of Tennessee Dept. of Transportation. He was a member of the Community of Christ Church at Jacks Creek. He enjoyed the Flea Markets.
He is survived by his wife, Inez Bailey Johnson of Jacks Creek; three daughters, Janice Holland and husband Leon, Shelia Cherry and husband Benny and Sherry Johnson and husband James all of Jacks Creek, TN; a son, Jerry Johnson of Jacks Creek, TN; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
