Alvin Lee Henry

Alvin Lee Henry was born September 26, 1947 in Selmer, TN the son of Lorene Smith Henry and the late Elton Henry. He was united in marriage to Janice M. Julian on July 3, 1969. Mrs. Henry preceded him in death on April 1, 2016.

Alvin was a retired instructor of auto body at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Crump, TN. He enjoyed doing body work on cars, especially Fords, going to car shows, and taking trips to Gatlinburg. He was a graduate of Bethel Springs High School and a veteran of the United States Army.

Mr. Henry departed this life on May 9, 2016 at his home at the age of 68 Years, 7 Months, 13 Days. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Renee Mitchell of Selmer, TN; his mother, Lorene Smith Henry; two grandchildren, Cris Butler and Angel Mitchell; a sister, Audrey Terry of Toone, TN; two brothers, Wayne Henry of Jackson, TN, Danny Henry of Streator, IL and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to his wife and father, Mr. Henry was preceded in death by a brother, Dean Henry.
