ALVIN KEETON JOHNSON
Jackson, TN: Alvin Keeton Johnson, age 93 passed away November 19, 2020 at Northbrooke Healthcare in Jackson.
He was born June 6, 1927 in Hardin County, at Sardis the son of the late Alvin Keeton and Delphia Vandike Johnson. He made his home in downtown Jackson and was the elevator operator at The New Southern Hotel. He was a member of the Parkview Baptist Church in Jackson, where he served as a deacon and taught Sunday school.
Mr. Johnson is survived by friends, Marie Blackwell, Bobby and Jeanette Holt and Mona Watson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Dameus Hershel Johnson (10-19-1980) and Dennis Cecil Johnson (3-3-2003) and a sister, Bonnie Fay Johnson (12-12-2000).
Private funeral services will be Friday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Bro. Jimmy Breedlove officiating.
Graveside services will be 3:00 PM Friday at Spring Hill Cemetery at Sardis, TN.
