Alvine Boyd

Alvine Boyd of Adamsville, TN was born August 17, 1936 in Morris Chapel, TN the daughter of the late Linas and Lydia Johnson Turnbow. She was united in marriage to Billy Joe Boyd on December 19, 1959. Mr. Boyd preceded her in death on November 6, 2004.

Mrs. Boyd departed this life on January 15, 2017 at the age of 80 Years, 4 Months, 29 Days. She was a retired Cashier and CSM at Wal-Mart in Selmer. She attended Sinner's Hope Church in Milledgeville, TN, Christian Assembly Church in Adamsville, and Crump, TN Pentecostal Church. She liked fishing and hunting with her husband. They both enjoyed going to bluegrass singings with their friends.

She is survived by a brother, Steve Turnbow and wife Donna of Adamsville; four sisters, Wanda Cromwell and late husband Bennie of Savannah, TN, Ann McFalls and husband Larry of Sharon, TN, Sue McCullough and husband Garland of Morris Chapel, TN, Peggy Carroll and husband David of Adamsville; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Turnbow.
