Pinson, TN: Amelia Middleton New, age 49 passed away Friday June 28, 2013 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Mrs. New was born in Henderson, TN and reared in Pinson, TN. She was the daughter of James David Middleton and the late Hazel Nadine Harris Middleton. She went to school in Madison County and graduated for South Side high school in 1982. She married Coy Byrum of Jackson, TN in 1983 and they made their home in Pinson community. Mr. Byrum died in 1996. Amelia loved to cook and do puzzles. She was Church of God in belief.
She is survived by her father James David Middleton, four brothers; David Earl Middleton of Jackson, Van Middleton and Mike Middleton both of Henderson and Andy Ray Middleton of Pinson, a sister Kim Pierce of Pinson.
She was preceded in death by her mother Hazel Nadine Harris Middleton and a sister Unice Middleton.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with James Taylor and Sara Middleton officiating with burial in the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Henderson County.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel from 5 PM to 9 PM on Monday.
