Amos W. Sides, 78, of Middleton, TN, died September 23, 2009, at Memphis Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Clara and Parker Sides, and his brother Ledron Sides.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Pearl Sides; sister Hazel (Richard) Paxton of Olive Branch, MS; brother Alton (Janice) Sides of Middleton, TN; and many nieces and nephews.
He graduated from the University of Memphis and retired as controller from Mercury Printing Co. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, and served during the Korean War.
He was a member of Leawood Baptist Church in Memphis for 49 years. He has been a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Walnut, MS for 6 years and served in various leadership roles.
