Andrew T. Lawson was born October 16, 1922 in Ramer, Tennessee the son of the late Andrew Benton and Hattie Lee Burress Lawson.He was united in marriage to Norma Weeks on July 21, 1951.Mr. Lawson worked for Brown Shoes Company and was a lifelong Farmer. He was a charter member of Ramer Ruritan Club, lifelong member of Culmberland Presbyterian Church (Mt. Vernon and then Ramer) elder, choir member, Sunday school teacher and a Delegate to the West Tennessee Presbytery. Also, a Alderman for the city of Ramer in the 1970's and served as Mayor of Ramer during that time.Mr. Lawson departed this life on July 21, 2009 in Ramer, Tennessee at the age of 86 Years, 9 Months, 5 Days.He is survived by his wife Norma (Weeks) Lawson of Ramer, TN; a daughter, Janice Nixon and husband Danny of Ramer, TN; a sister, Mabel Cramer of Selmer, TN; two grandchildren, Lorie Clayton and husband John of Middleton, TN, Mindy Rogers and husband Luke of Jackson, TN; two great grandchildren, Joey and Caelan Clayton and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.In addition to his parents, Mr. Lawson was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn Brooks and Bonnie Hendrix; two brothers, Walton and Buford Lawson.
