Anita Louise Stewart

Anita Louise Stewart, age 71, passed away at her home in Michie, TN on August 14, 2026. She was born on June 20, 1955 to the late James and Betty Smith Waddell.

She was united in marriage to Dennis Stewart on August 5, 1974. He passed away on June 26, 2011.

Anita was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, Nana and friend. Her greatest joy came from the time she spent loving on her grandbabies, Gianna and Aubree. The bond they shared was something truly special, and the memories they made together will remain in their hearts forever.

Her love, strength, kindness, and beautiful spirit touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Anita was a dedicated member of the Acton church of Christ. She enjoyed cruising with her family, watching true crime documentaries, and spending time with her fur babies.

Mrs. Stewart leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Chris Stewart and wife Jessica Deaton of Michie, TN; granddaughters, Gianna and Aubree Stewart; brothers-in-law, Tim Stewart and wife Jeanette, and Bill Stewart; dear friends, Brenda Deaton, Tommy and Jennifer Raburn along with their children, Jacy and Hailey Raburn; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and church family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, Larry Waddell.

Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort knowing she is no longer suffering and is resting in the arms of her Lord and Savior
