Ann Dockery Britt

Ann Dockery Britt departed this life on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at the age of 84 years, 11 months, and 21 days. She was born on April 25, 1935, the daughter of Berlia F. and Bertha E. Williams Dockery. Ann was born in Hale County, Alabama and raised in Mt. Olive, Alabama. On May 25, 1951, she was united in marriage to Norman C. Britt, who preceded her in death on February 2, 2017.
Ann was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Adamsville, Tennessee and was a very devoted member. The light of God never failed to shine within her and to the world around her. She loved to be surrounded by friends and family. Ann loved to work in the yard and would always have a lending hand and advice for ones who wanted it along with the ones that did not.
She is survived by her children, Dena C. Britt, Norman Edwin Britt and his wife Susan, and Sterling A. Britt and his wife Brandy; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; a sister, Jean Henderson; and a brother, Doyle Dockery and his wife Sue.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Ann was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.
In response to Governor Lee's Executive Order 17 which took effect at 12:01 AM March 23, 2020, there will be no public visitations or services until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding during this difficult time.
