Annie Belle Lee Dodd was born June 14, 1933 in Chester County the daughter of Robert E. Lee and Annie Mozella Newman Ligon. She grew up, attended school and lived her entire life in Chester County. She departed this life on November 10, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital at the age of 83 years, 4 months and 7 days.
She married Roy Earl Dodd on November 5, 1950 and they celebrated their 66th anniversary last Saturday. She was a homemaker and loved gardening and growing beautiful flowers. A Member of Bethel Baptist Church for over 50 years, she served many years as a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed canning and babysitting for family. She loved her family and taking care of them and especially staying involved with her grandchildren. She lived to serve.
She is survived by her husband Roy Dodd of Henderson; two daughters Shirley Cupples (Tony) and Sheila Lindsey (Richard) both of Henderson; two sisters Virginia Cox and Dorothy Cupples both of Henderson; a brother Robert Ed Ligon of Georgia; four grandchildren Liberty Defilippo, Khakki Bonner, Ben Cupples, Adam Lindsey and 7 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Charlotte Lee Dodd and a sister Betty Sheffield.
