Ann B. Eichler

Ann Bost Eichler, 91 years young, met her Lord and Saviour on October 27, 2024. Ann lived her final years at Jackson Meadows where she had many wonderful friends.

Ann was born in Atwood, TN, daughter of Forrest Logan and Janie Minor Bost, moving to Bolivar in her early childhood, where she later graduated from Bolivar Central High School in 1951. She loved telling stories of how she and her sister, Doris, and brother, Larry, navigated through the Great Depression.

Ann married Cecil Vincent and was quickly immersed into the farming lifestyle. She was an integral part of his large family and recounted occasions of baking dozens of biscuits to feed the hungry breakfast clan. Ann and Cecil welcomed three daughters, Marilyn Brodmerkle, Beth Vincent, and Amy Sain. Ann was the anchor in the family instilling in her girls the values she so coveted, love your neighbor, love God, be kind, and pursue your dreams. Ann led by example, never faltering in her faith during the hard times, and always lifting others up.

Later in life, Ann married Art Eichler. They experienced many adventures RV trekking across the US. Ann never forgot a detail. She could recall the routes taken, the sites seen, and the history of all explored. Their biggest adventure was living in Heilbronn, Germany for a few years. Ann learned to speak Deutsch and fell in love with baking. The biscuits soon gave way to poppy seed bread and other German fare. Christmas was Ann’s favorite holiday where the family gathered, and the house was decorated in full bling which grew as she worked at The Christmas Shop in Jackson. Decorated cookies, red velvet and German chocolate cakes were a staple during the holiday. She loved giving gifts and shopping early and long.

In her early years, Ann worked in medical records at Western Mental Health with friends she cherished. She eventually lived her dream and opened a clothing store, Belle Boutique, and later enjoyed working at Iva’s. She was a fashionista, always beautiful, and had a knack for helping customers shop.

Ann was curious. She loved trying new things, and never missed her favorites, including Jeopardy and the Wheel of Fortune, where she often outperformed the contestants. Ann loved golf, football, Hallmark movies, reading, cross word puzzles, and all things regarding pets, including her beloved pups over the years.

Ann’s faith was her bedrock. She was an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, in Jackson. She was a leader of the Explorer Bible Study, an active member of Wisdom Seekers Sunday School Class, and an accomplished student of the Bible. When unable to physically attend services, Ann mastered her ipad, airdropping the service to her big screen tv so she could feel like she was there. She enjoyed keeping in touch on Facebook and Instagram. Ann always knew what her granddaughters, great grands, and nieces and nephews were doing, cheerleading each along their path.

Ann will be missed by all but never forgotten. Her example of living a “full life” is instilled in us forever. May she rejoice being reunited with her family and friends who have gone before her. Survived by her children Marilyn Brodmerkle (Bruce), Beth Vincent (Jane), Amy Sain (Tommy), and Brenda Eichler; Grand-daughters Lauren Horsman (Ryan), Kathryn Blair (Greg), Ashley Sain, Allison Housholder (John); Great grandchildren, Harper and Hayden Horsman, Jack and Campbell Housholder, and Natalia Armstead (Christopher).
