ANN PANNELL WEAVER
Henderson, TN: Annie Jean Pannell Weaver, age 81 passed away June 22, 2013 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Mrs. Weaver was born in the New Harmony Community in Union County, Mississippi the daughter of the late Riley Lee and Palmer Layunes Kitchens Pannell. She graduated from Chester County High School in 1949. She worked at Freeman’s Grocery on Main Street in Henderson before she married Guy Gordon Weaver in 1952. Mr. Weaver was in the U.S. Army for twenty six years and Mrs. Weaver accompanied him in Europe and North America. They made their home in Henderson since 1970. She had worked at Jerry’s Sportswear and the shoe store at Magic Valley. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Weaver is survived by a daughter, Deborah Broc of Henderson and a son, Guy G. Weaver, Jr. of Memphis; a sister, Jennette Stokes of Ecru, MS; four grandchildren, Lauren Broc Colraine, Kirkstin Broc, Jesse Weaver, Jacob Weaver and a great grandson, Evan Schippers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Gordon Weaver in 2007 and a son, Michael Ray Weaver in 2007; four brothers, Junior Pannell, Rip Pannell, Ronald Pannell and Talmadge Pannell.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Jerry Wilson officiating and burial will follow in Old Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning at 5:00 PM on Tuesday.
