Anna Maude Garrard Etheridge Burgess has passed on to life's next adventure. Anna, or as she was called by those who knew her well, Little Ann, died on March 17, 2013. She was 90 years old at her death.
While Anna was small in stature she was strong-willed and had a sharp tongue for those she thought deserved it.
Anna out-lived two husbands, Young H. Etheridge of Hamburg, Arkansas and O. Preston Burgess of Middleton, Tennessee. Anna will be buried at the Rogers Springs Church of Christ cemetery beside Preston. She is survived by her oldest son, Young Hogan Etheridge, and his wife, Katherine Ann Chapman Etheridge. She had 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
