Anna Mary Byram
February 26, 1914- June 3, 2015
Anna Mary Byram was born February 26, 1914 in Savannah, Tennessee to the late James L. and Annie Agnes McDougal Ledbetter and entered eternal rest on June3, 2015 in San Antonio, Tx. She was in her home surrounded by family. Anna Mary was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother of five generations. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex H Byram; brothers Jim Ledbetter, Sidney Ledbetter, Edwin Ledbetter, Joe Neal Ledbetter (infant) and sister Willie Kate Williams. Anna Mary started working at the early age of 14 years for the Savannah Theater. She held the position of ticket agent from 1928 until the early 1950's when Earnest Churchwell owned the theater. She said, working at the theater gave her many wonderful memories. Meeting people from all walks of life. The theater would have guest appearances. Gene Autry, Tim McCoy and Tex Ritter were some of the movie stars she meet. Anna Mary left Hardin County in 1998 and moved to San Antonio. Tx. and lived with her daughter Mary Ann Hollins and son-in-law the late Billy W. Hollins. She brought many years of love and joy to her family which grew to five generations. She leaves her daughter Mary Ann Hollins; grandchildren, Anna Kivela; Mary Lou Stout and Patricia Hollins all of San Antonio, Tx. brothers Roy Ledbetter (Linda) of Lawrenceburg, Tn; Alex Ledbetter (Mary Ruth) of Waynesboro, Va. 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Anna Mary's wonderful life of 101 years was a blessing to all. She will be deeply missed by family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the Savannah Historic Theater.
