With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Anna Holt McWilliams, age 81, of Waynesboro, TN, who left us on August 1, 2025. She was born on April 30, 1944, in Collinwood, TN, the daughter of the late Elmer and Opal Lindsey Holt.
Anna's warm spirit shone brightly through her many roles in life. She found joy in her marriage to Paul McWilliams, forming a partnership that radiated love and support. Throughout her career, Anna dedicated many years to Genesco Manufacturing Company as a boot inspector, later showcasing her nurturing heart as a dietary cook at the Wayne County Nursing Home, where she eventually retired.
Her commitment to her community was evident not only through her work but also through her membership in the Waynesboro Church of Christ and the Eastern Star. Anna was a beloved figure in her neighborhood, often found sitting on her porch, ready with a warm wave and a friendly smile for anyone passing by. She had a passion for walking, traveling, sewing, and cooking, all of which brought her immense joy and created lasting memories for those lucky enough to share these moments with her.
She is survived by her husband, Paul McWilliams of Waynesboro, TN; daughter, Crist Kilpatrick (Randy) of Parrish, AL; son, Scott Robertson; brother, Aaron D Holt of Waynesboro, TN; grandsons, Jeremy Key (Ashley) of Corner, AL, and Ethan Key (Amanda) of Vestavia, AL; great grandchildren, Payton Key, Jaxen Key, Kinsley Key, John Waylon Key, and Jack Key; and cousin, Margaret Hammack (Paul).
In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her sister Willowdean McWilliams.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Iron City, TN with Greg Lee officiating and with burial to follow.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Key, Ethan Key, Jaxen Key, John Waylon Key, Jagger Ary, and Fred Campbell.
