Annie Mae Dillon, age 88, of Selmer, Tennessee, passed away on July 25, 2024. Annie was born to Julia and R D Johnson on June 28, 1936.
Annie was married to the love of her life, Roy Gene Dillon on January 17, 1953. They were married for 48 years before he passed away.
Annie is survived by a daughter, Theresa Teague and husband Mike; grandchildren: Lain Teague, Shane Teague and wife Paige, Heath Teague and wife Beth Ann; great grandchildren: Stone Teague, Aspen Teague, Owen Teague, Quinn Teague, and Coy Teague; sister, Mary Wallis; daughter-in-law, Helen Dillon, and children, Amber Thompson, Amanda Bradford, and daughter Alivia; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Gene Dillon; sons, Johnny Lain Dillon and Roy Phillip Dillon; two sisters and four brothers.
Annie worked at Brown Shoe Company until it closed, and she retired. Annie was an active member of Court Avenue Cumberland Church along with her husband, until she became disabled and unable to attend.
Annie was a wonderful, kind, and loving woman. She loved her family and friends deeply. Annie enjoyed homemaking, cooking for her family, reading, and listening to gospel music. Above all, spending time with her family was her greatest joy.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 1 pm until funeral service at 4 pm all held at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, Tennessee, with Joe Loncar, Stone Teague and Ben Worthey officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Selmer, Tennessee.
Pallbearers: Lain Teague, Shane Teague, Heath Teague, Stone Teague, Owen Teague, and Coy Teague. Honorary Pallbearers: Aspen Teague and Quinn Teague.
