Annie Rea King was born September 9, 1929 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late George Carroll Moore and Beulah Barton. She departed this life on May 5, 2020 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee at the age of 90 Years, 7 Months, 26 Days.
She was united in marriage to the love of her life Alfred Payton King on November 9, 1946. Mr. King preceded her in death on December 30, 2016 after 70 years of marriage.
Annie Rea loved being a homemaker and working hard for her family. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning and gardening. She was a very loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A devoted Christian. It was her faith and love for God that set her as a pillar for her family. Annie Rea was a good friend and loved by all that knew her.
Mrs. King is survived by five daughters: Norma Gean Skelton of Stantonville, TN, Judy Ann Lyles of Selmer, TN, Wanda Lee Geary and husband Havert of Bethel Springs, TN, Janet Marie Miller and husband Tedford of Selmer, TN, Penelope Ramona Maxedon and husband Ronald of Bethel Springs, TN; a brother, John Milton Moore of Selmer, TN; ten grandchildren: Alfred D. Papadakis, Chip Skelton and wife Samantha, Burke Skelton and wife Leah, Steven J. Yurick, Missy Yurick Ferrell and husband Chris, Heath A. Geary and wife Selena, Derek A. Miller and wife Amanda, Shaun P. Maxedon, Aden P. Maxedon, Heather A. Geary; nine great grandchildren: Naomi M. Yurick, B.J. Dickey, Tristan S. Howard, Katelyn M. Geary, Jacob A. Geary, Alexis N., Kylie M., Noah A. Miller, Audrey R. Skelton; two great great grandchildren Ava Yurick and Raelynn Dickey; and special nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. King was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Henry Moore; sister, Mary Lee LaCaze; and an infant sister.
