Annie Katherine Scott Patterson

Annie Katherine Scott Patterson, age 87, of Lutts, TN, passed away on September 21, 2024. She was born on April 3, 1937, the daughter of the late George Henry and Effie Golden Rich Scott.

Annie’s heart was intertwined with the love she shared with her husband, Waylon Patterson, whom she married on August 2, 1957. 

With over 20 years of dedication as a sewing factory worker, Annie’s craftsmanship extended far beyond her profession. In her spare time, she poured her love into cooking, reading books, sewing, and quilting.

She is survived by her son, Darryl Patterson (Tina) of Cypress Inn, TN; daughters, Marsha Walker of Florence, AL, and Lisa Lansdell (Tim) of Waterloo, AL; daughters-in-law, Suzanne Newmann Patterson of Kensington, MD, and Cyndi Miller (Larry) of Florence, AL; brother, Billy Scott of Lutts, TN; sisters, Christine Scott of Lutts, TN, and Alene Scott of Lutts, TN; grandchildren, Randy Jr., Brandy, Miranda, Luke, Tyler, Jack, Bella, Max, and Destiny; and great grandchildren, Riley, Jace, Alaia, Micah, Miles, Easton, Avery, Conner, Jaxon, and Adaline.

In addition to her husband and parents, Annie was preceded in death by her sons, Jeff Patterson, and Harold Patterson; sister, Cynthia Patterson; granddaughter, Samantha Price; and brother, Frank Scott.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm service time at Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church with Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
