Annie Maude Shearin

Mrs. Shearin passed away Thursday morning, March 3, 2011 at Quince Health Care in Memphis.



The widow of Lester R. Shearin, who died December 22, 1986 after 45 years of marriage, she was a homemaker. She was born November 12, 1913 in Middleton to the late Ottis Brint and Cecil Boatman Brint and lived in Hardeman County, teaching school in Hornsby until her marriage in 1941. She then lived in Memphis, working for a time at Sears Crosstown. Mrs. Shearin was a longtime member of Highland Street Church of Christ in Memphis.



She is survived by a daughter, Annette Shearin of Olive Branch, MS; a niece, Evelyn Jamieson and her husband, Edsel of Ripley, MS; four great nieces, Regina Gandy, Janet Bennett and her husband, Mike and Melinda Walden and her husband, Jim, all of Ripley, MS, Ellen Dotson and her husband, Bobby of Spring Hill; and a great nephew, Joe Jamieson and his wife, Abby of Booneville, MS. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Roy David Shearin; and a brother, Laverne Brint.
