ANNIE MAE WATSON



Nashville: Annie Mae Watson went to live with her heavenly Father on Sunday, June 12, 2011. She is preceded in death by her parents, Andy and Maude Kirkman, her son Donald Lewis Watson, her grandsons, Donny Watson and Michael Watson, her daughter-in-law Peggy Watson Powers, her sisters Ruth Macherey (Roy), Ruby Byars (William) and Elna Perkins (Lewis) and her brother William Kirkman (Luella).



She is survived by her daughter Linda Simpson (Harold) grandchildren, Andy Simpson, Zachary Simpson (Ashley), Jenny Baker (Rob). Regina Lally, Ronny Watson and Eric Watson (Lori), great grandchildren, Ruby Baker, Lola Baker, Phoebe Baker, Amy Dement (Joey), Sarah Holley (Jake), Cory Watson, Summer Watson, Heather Watson and Haley Watson, great-great grandchildren, Kaden Holley and Chaney Watson, her nephews Bob Holland (Judy) Kenny Kirkman and Shirley Kirkman Thurston, her friends Shirley and Jimmy Roberts, Joyce McMahan and Janet Madden, Dianna Naylor, her special care giver Sheila Ingram and her devoted nurse Virginia Estes.



Pall bearers are Andy Simpson, Zack Simpson, Bob Holland, Ronnie Watson, Eric Watson and Cory Watson.



Memy, as her family lovingly called her, or Miss Annie, or Annie Mae was loved by all that she came in contact with. Remembered for her great meals including her chocolate pies and coconut cake, and her sweet nature, she will be missed by all.



She worked at Sullivan’s Pie Shop for 20 years and was a member of the East Chester Church of Christ (Campbell Street) until she moved to Nashville to be closer to her daughter.



She will be laid to rest beside her son and her parents at Mt Pleasant Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Shackelford – Johnson Chapel in Henderson 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM with a private family graveside service at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with Ray Hawk officiating.
