Anthony "Big A" Evans O'Neal

Anthony "Big A" Evans O 'Neal, age 51, of Bolivar, departed this life Saturday morning, August 11, 2018 at Bolivar General Hospital.


Celebration of Life services for Anthony will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 5:00 - 10:00 p.m. The memorial will take place at 655 Russell Road in Bolivar. Guests are encouraged to come ready to share their fondest memories of Big A. Additionally, a private family burial will be held at a later date.

He was born in Jackson, Tennessee on December 25, 1966, to Cheri Arch McKinnie and Doug O'Neal of Jackson. He spent most of his life in Bolivar, excluding the 10 years he spent living in Scotts Hill. Although highly skilled in his career as an industrial electrician, working all over the country, he will be remembered most for his unstoppable quick wit and unique sense of humor. He was a multifaceted individual with a broad span of knowledge, skills and hobbies, including his favorites, fishing and whittling.

Survivors include his sons, Eric O'Neal of Bolivar and Grayson O'Neal of Sardis; his mother, Cheri McKinnie (E.W.) of Jackson; his father, Doug O'Neal (Lisa) of Jackson; a sister, Angela O'Neal Goodman of Bolivar; a grandson, Ayden O'Neal; and his life partner, Angie Smith of Scotts Hill and her son, Noah Isbell. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William and Mirrell O'Neal and maternal grandmother, Joan Arch.
