Anthony Cecil Prater

Services for Anthony Cecil (Elrod) Prater will be Sunday, February 21, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Church of God of Prophecy in Collinwood with Josh Stults and Junior Daniel officiating. Burial will follow in the McGlamery Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.Anthony , a native of Wayne County, was born August 14, 1971. He died Thursday, February 18, 2010 at his home in Waynesboro at the age of 38 Years, 6 Months, 4 Days. Anthony was a former saw mill worker and was a TVA employee for several years.He is survived by his mother Viola Langford Prater and sister, Teresa Wright both of Waynesboro; father, Phillip Prater and stepmother, Myy Mia Prater, 3 half-sisters, AnneMarie, Jocelynn, and Courtney Prater all of Nashville.He had many cousins that loved him like a brother and also like an uncle. He also had a friend of 20 years, Melissa (Misfit) Jones. He also was the grandson of the late Jasper and Ida Langford and Pink and Gertrude Prater.
