Archie Merlon Sain, Sr. was born March 7, 1945 in Bolivar, TN the son of the late Wilie Pete and Mary Kelley Sain.
He was united in marriage to Juanita McDougal on January 4, 1972.
Mr. Sain worked at Western State Mental Hospital for over 20 years. He enjoyed his coffee along with the Jackson Sun newspaper. After reading the paper, he would work the crossword puzzle. He was an avid watcher of the game show "Jeopardy" and rarely missed a show. He also liked watching true crime stories.
Daddy, as he was called by his children and grandchildren, loved sweets and was known to have a pocket full of gumballs. He loved his family especially his grandchildren.
Mr. Sain departed this life on June 9, 2020 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 75 Years, 3 Months, 2 Days. He is survived by his wife Juanita McDougal Sain of Selmer, TN; five daughters, Audrey Harris and husband Jimmy of Ramer, TN, Anandra McCord and husband Nicholas of Selmer, TN, Autumn Sain and companion Vernon Alexander of Selmer, TN, Angel Huddleston and husband Dewayne of Henderson, TN, and Arzittra Sain of Selmer, TN; two sons, Archie Sain Jr. and Arlon Sain both of Selmer, TN; 8 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren; a sister, Eva Brown of Bolivar, TN; two brothers, Forest Sain and wife Joyce, Booker Sain of Bolivar, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Sain was preceded in death by a grandson, Donavan Damron; six brothers, Malcom, Lester, Kenneth, William, Sylvester, and Luther Sain.
